Britt Bailey
Over the past 4 years I've gained a broad experience as a 3D Artist on both games and animation projects. I'm currently working as an Environment Artist for SEGA HARDlight in Leamington Spa, helping bring to life their next cutting-edge mobile title. In this role I have been able to take full ownership over my environment work, from concepting levels to modelling props,  all the way through to set dressing, lighting and optimisation within the Unity engine.
Prior to this role I also spent 2 years as a CG Generalist for the independent Belfast based video game studio Italic Pig on their adorable dinosaur ranching simulator 'Paleo Pines'. On this project I had the opportunity to sculpt many lovable dinos, create a host of environment assets, and produce VFX for the game. I also had the chance to flex my 2D muscles as a concept artist across multiple projects at the studio.
While with Italic Pig I also had the incredible opportunity of directing 'Colour!' - a 3D short film inspired by my own complicated relationship with my Caribbean and British heritage when I was growing up.  As well as being the Writer/Director on the film, I touched countless aspects of it's production from character design all the way through to lighting and compositing. I'm very excited to have had the chance to create this film as it's a story close to my heart and hopefully will touch others too.
Aside from gaming and watching films, my interests include literature, sewing, fitness (I've just started learning Pole) and cooking - food will often creep into my art as you can see if you take a look through it! I have a passion for travel and thrive in social environments. I find moving to new places and meeting new people always excites me and feeds into my creativity and I hope to see much more of the world as time goes on!
